The Seasons Classroom Rug is a unique collaboration between First Nation artist DJ Mate and Elizabeth Richards. A truly beautiful classroom rug that gives kids space to ask questions, listen to stories and learn about Country.

Created exclusively for Elizabeth Richards the Indigenous Seasons Rug gives you the opportunity to showcase an original piece of Indigenous art in your classroom. The Seasons classroom rug will remind children how important it is to listen to the land by telling the story of the four seasons. The importance of the seasons on Country, and the respect for each season held by First Nations people.

The Elizabeth Richards Indigenous Seasons Rug will become a central place in your classroom for sharing stories, holding yarning circles, reflecting on Indigenous histories and cultures, and learning the lessons of our First Nations people.

A must-have for every classroom from early childhood settings through to High School break-out rooms and libraries. It is not only a unique piece of art but a functional classroom mat that can be used for setting up learning spaces and defining zones. Your classroom library will have its own unique reading zone or you can use the Seasons Classroom Rug to create a designated space for your First Nations picture book collection.

The Elizabeth Richards Indigenous Seasons Rug is made from high a quality cut-pile polyester blend with a non-slip latex backing and will withstand heavy foot traffic. Available in two sizes, Small (1.5m x 1m) and Large (3m x 2m). Each rug is soil resistant and easily wiped down or vacuumed to maintain the vibrant colour.

The Elizabeth Richards Indigenous Seasons Rug was designed to immerse children in Indigenous histories and cultures through storytelling and yarning. Share your First Nations library collection with coordinating Seasons Book Boxes (ERASBB5) also designed by DJ Mate.
